ISO Certified Steel Coils for Global Export and Trade

Here is a comparison of some common galvanized steel coil designations, along with their English terms:

1. European Standard (EN):

DX51D+Z: Cold-rolled flat products for cold forming, general purpose, hot-dip galvanized with pure zinc coating.

DX52D+Z: Cold-rolled flat products for cold forming, suitable for drawing, hot-dip galvanized with pure zinc coating.

DX53D+Z: Cold-rolled flat products for cold forming, suitable for deep drawing, hot-dip galvanized with pure zinc coating.

Other designations in this series include DX54D+Z and DX56D+Z, which differ in mechanical properties and forming capabilities.

2. American Standard (ASTM):

Commonly used designations include ASTM A653M, with specific grades such as CS Type A/B/C, indicating different mechanical properties and coating weights.

3. Japanese Standard (JIS):

SGCC: Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet and strip, with a zinc coating. The zinc coating weight is often indicated after the designation, such as SGCC+Z27, which means a zinc coating weight of 270g/m2.

4. Australian Standard (AS):

AS 1397: This standard includes designations such as G300, where the number represents the yield strength.

5. Enterprise Standard (Example: Baosteel):

Q/BQB 440-2009 TDC51D+Z/AZ: This is Baosteel's enterprise standard for galvanized steel coils. TDC indicates a coated steel sheet, D represents a galvanized steel sheet, 51D indicates the intended use (general purpose), and Z/AZ indicates pure zinc or zinc-aluminum coating.

6. S Series (High-Strength Galvanized Steel Coils):

S220GD+Z, S250GD+Z, S280GD+Z, etc.: The numbers in this series represent the yield strength in MPa. For example, S220GD+Z has a yield strength of 220 MPa.

Please note that the above list is not exhaustive and that there may be other designations and standards in use. When specifying galvanized steel coils, it is important to consult with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that the chosen designation meets the required mechanical properties, coating weights, and other specifications for the intended application.
